Faith, Hope, and Community: Our 2026 Summer Camp in Haiti

During our recent visit to the Madeleine community in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, Haiti Hope Alliance welcomed 250 children to our 2026 Summer Camp. This special week gave children a safe and welcoming place to learn about Christ, build new skills, express their creativity, and simply enjoy being kids.
For many children in Haiti, daily life can bring significant challenges. Our summer camp offered a temporary escape from those pressures and created an environment filled with faith, friendship, nutritious meals, music, learning, and fun.
Helping Children in Haiti Discover Their Gifts
Throughout the week, the children rotated through seven 45-minute activity stations. These included sports, social development, sewing, floral art, beadmaking, dance, and other creative experiences.
Each activity was designed to help the children:
Build confidence and develop practical skills.
Discover their unique gifts and talents.
Learn the importance of teamwork and community.
Express themselves through art, movement, and creativity.
Strengthen their faith and vision for the future.
The social-development sessions also encouraged the children to explore who they are and recognize the important role they can play within their families and communities.
Opening and closing ceremonies brought everyone together for live music, movement, and celebration. Every part of the camp was created to give the children a joyful experience while reminding them that they are valued, loved, and capable of achieving their goals.
Twenty-Three Children Made Decisions for Christ
One of the most meaningful outcomes of our Christian summer camp in Haiti was seeing 23 children give their lives to Christ or renew their commitment to follow Him.
Our mission is about more than providing one memorable week. We want to help young people become individuals who love God, love their country, and feel inspired to serve their communities.
While Haiti is often associated with hardship, we see its strength, beauty, and potential in its children. By supporting their spiritual and personal development, we can help them imagine a brighter future for themselves and their country.
Launching a New Youth Club in Madeleine
Although the 2026 summer camp has ended, our work in the Madeleine community is just beginning.
In September, Haiti Hope Alliance plans to launch a new youth club in Cap-Haïtien. Like the clubs connected to our other camps, this program will allow us to continue walking alongside the children throughout the year.
The Madeleine youth club will provide:
Bible-based lessons and spiritual guidance.
Mentorship and ongoing encouragement.
Life-skills development.
Activities that support children’s talents and goals.
A safe and supportive community where young people can grow.
Most of the children who attended the summer camp will have the opportunity to participate in this new program.
Support Christian Youth Programs in Haiti
We are grateful to everyone whose prayers and generosity made our 2026 summer camp in Haiti possible. Together, we gave 250 children a week filled with joy, learning, faith, and hope and witnessed 23 young people make life-changing decisions for Christ.
